Drivvy found a large gap in the already-existing transportation space in Australia: a flexible, affordable, and reliable option for eco-friendly intercity ridesharing. Current competing apps are either too expensive or fail to allow a genuine connection between drivers and passengers heading in the same direction, especially in areas that hardly see any traffic. With rising fuel prices, an increase in urban congestion, and the urgency of climate concerns, there was an ever-growing need for a smarter, community-dependent transport solution.
The prime challenge was to create and design a platform that exceeded functional expectations of route matching, secure payments, or real-time booking and inspired an element of trust with users. Drivvy needed to create an app that provided the most relaxed mobile experiences possible, secured dynamic pricing, allowed for varied stopovers, and included sufficient safety amenities for both drivers and passengers. The platform also had to be efficiently scalable, regulatory compliant, and confer zero commissions on drivers without hampering monetisation opportunities.
Esferasoft has partnered with Drivvy to conceptualise and build a comprehensive ride-sharing ecosystem. We delivered a fully responsive and cross-platform mobile and web application whereby users could search, book, and offer rides.
