Hip2Save and Hip2Keto are sister platforms sharing a common mission—to make smart and affordable living possible for everyone. Hip2Save was inaugurated by Collin Morgan and has become a darling of the Internet for people seeking deals, coupons, and money-saving tips. Its keto sister site, Hip2Keto, makes it easy for users to navigate through dietary mines with easy recipe instructions and product reviews, along with cheap health recommendations as well.
Together, the platforms reach millions every month, helping people save more, eat better, and live happily. With a loyal community and ever-growing content, they needed a digital solution matching their energy, scale, and mission.



The Starting Point
Despite having loyal audiences and distinct editorial voices, these websites faced several challenges:
- Decaying UI/UX and content overload, creating user engagement friction

- The outreach via cross-platform presence was growing—especially mobile apps, which could offer value in real time.

Our Journey Begins
Hip2 has collaborated with Esferasoft to actualise their vision through a comprehensive redesign of their digital experience. Our work included:

The Execution Phase

Website Upgrades
For both platforms, a slim, quick, and responsive interface was created to clearly display offers, recipes, and reviews. The search, filter, and category restructuring features all work together to help users easily access the required content based on their interests and urgency.

Recipe and Content Personalization
Now with dynamic filtering by ingredient, macros, prep time, and difficulty, Hip2Keto’s recipes also include a meal planning assistant with online grocery list downloads.

Back-end & Performance Enhancements
The key backend workflows underlying these applications were re-engineered to allow affiliate deal rotation, enhancements to CMS, and speedier page loads to be essential during flash sales or seasonal spikes.

The Roadblocks We Overcame
Creating a user-friendly interface for both deal hunters and the dieter, not to be confused with brand identity. Synchronising content, alerts, and preferences across web and app platforms. Balancing editorial freedom with performance discipline, as far as daily publishing is concerned. We manage real-time notifications by preventing them from overwhelming audiences. The platform ensures seamless navigation for both novice and seasoned users.

Development of Mobile App
Esferasoft designed and developed purely native mobile apps for Hip2Save and Hip2Keto on both iOS and Android platforms. Some key features are:
- Push Deal Alerts: Instant notifications for limited-time or trending offers
- Integration with HipList: Save and Track deals/recipes across all devices
- Smart Navigation: Swipe-friendly menus, filters, and browsing on-the-go
- In-App Browsing + Deep Linking: Smooth transitions into merchant sites for conversions
The Roadblocks We Overcame

- What is the most challenging aspect of designing an interface? The challenge lies in striking a balance between simplicity and complexity. How can one design an interface that easily communicates with the novice while offering robust features and capabilities?
- Striking visual clarity in interface design versus rich functionality was not easy. Every feature had to earn its place. Other issues included app store submission flows, device compatibility, and backend load management, all of which needed to be considered for a seamless UX.
The Outcome
Since the launch, Hip2Save and Hip2Keto have experienced a truly transformational impact.

Push notification opt-in rates went higher than 70%, garnering some terrific repeat visits.

User engagement shot up, with time spent on-site up 34% and recipes shared now doubling.

Page load times went down by 45%, improving retention for mobile.

With improved calls to action and redirects to merchants, affiliate conversions increased by 28%.
App installs went up three times in the first quarter after the launch.
